Customised Employment: Streamlining Sustainable Transitions
27 Feb 2018, 1.00pm–2.00pm (AEDT)

The NDCO Program, in collaboration with with Gaelen Williams from NDS is running this webinar on the topic Customised Employment.

What is Customised Employment?

Customised Employment is an individualised approach to vocational supports and services: one person at a time. It consists of two stages: 1) Discovery and 2) Job Creation. The goal of Customised Employment is to tailor jobs/self-employment to fit the skills, interests, strengths, and support needs of the individual whilst meeting the needs of business/the market for a service or product. The Customised Employment model has had much success in Western Australia and this webinar will be a great opportunity to share this person-centred approach to employment pathways with services across Australia.

How will the webinar work?

The webinar will be facilitated by the NDCO program and will be presented by Gaelen from NDS. It will be AUSLAN interpreted, live captioned and recorded.

What are the aims of the webinar?

  • To provide an overview of the Customised Employment approach
  • Encourage families to be part of the transition journey
  • Maintain successful workplace partnerships
  • To encourage different thinking about employment supports
