Greater Sydney Local Land Services Aboriginal Grants program for 2017–18 is now open. Grants of up to $30,000 are available to Aboriginal Community Groups, organisations and individuals operating or living in the Greater Sydney Region.

This funding is provided through the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme and the NSW Government’s Catchment Action programme for projects that meet at least one of the objectives listed below:

  • Aboriginal Cultural Heritage projects where traditional knowledge and practices are valued, shared and integrated into sustainable natural resource management in caring for Country
  • Increase the skills and capacity of Aboriginal people, Aboriginal landcare groups and Aboriginal enterprises to undertake natural resource management works including on lands owned or managed by Aboriginal organisations
  • Plan and implement natural resource management works to improve the condition of native vegetation and habitats on sites of significance to local communities
  • Plan and implement on-ground works by local communities to manage threats to Cultural Heritage sites

Expression of Interest forms are available on request. 

Eligible groups, organisations and individuals are encouraged to apply. Project proposals should be submitted as an Expression of Interest to Greater Sydney Local Land Services, to the contacts shown below.
