The I4G (Investing For Good) Pitch event will provide two social service organisations with a $50,000 grant as well as bespoke impact investment readiness capacity building support so they can develop a business idea and explore pathways to establish financial sustainability and social investment in their organisation.

The I4G Pitch event will take place on 8 November 2017, showcasing six outstanding social service organisations, from across NSW, where there is scope to develop a sustainable business idea, attract social investment and scale impact.

Attracting high-profile guests, including government, philanthropists, investors and social service organisations this event will be an outstanding opportunity to network and learn more about social investment and the changing funding landscape.

The inaugural I4G Pitch aims to:

  • Co-create (with Government, service organisations and the private sector) the ecosystem required for social investment to reach its full potential
  • Raise awareness about impact investing broadly with the intention of developing the sector's capacity to understand and participate in social impact investing (SII) opportunities
  • Identify, develop and showcase outstanding organisations which are delivering high impact services to their communities
  • Monitor progress over time in order to better understand challenges to attracting investment and share learnings with the sector

To apply social service organisations must meet the following criteria:

  • Organisation is incorporated in NSW
  • Organisation’s mission focuses on solving a social problem
  • Organisation structured as a non-profit or charitable organisation
  • Organisation has DGR1 Status or an established auspicing relationship
