About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist (12 month contract - with potential to renew) to join our Behaviour and Allied Health team in Castle Hill.

We are excited to expand our existing team with this newly created role. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, assessment/intervention therapy and organisation skills as well as a commitment and ability to work with a range of people and their families/stakeholders, with complex needs, to achieve meaningful outcomes.

About You

What we are looking for:

  • General registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist and eligible to provide relevant Medicare services
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Developmental Disability Sector
  • Demonstrated experience & sound knowledge working with people with complex needs, including challenging behaviour, sensory issues, emotion regulation and trauma
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in provision of assessment, intervention and therapy services using evidence informed approaches
  • Experience working with a range of clients across the lifespan
  • Experience in managing a caseload with tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise caseload in a flexible manner according to client need
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High level of communication and consultation skills
  • Understanding of person and family centred practice
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of agencies to negotiate and achieve positive client outcomes
  • Ability to work within a trans-disciplinary team
  • Maintain own professional development and discipline specific supervision requirements
  • Current driver’s licence


  • Experience working within the NDIS
  • Experience in mobility and SDA assessment
  • Experience in the assessment, design and delivery of positive behaviour support
