The NSW Department of Education’s Anti-bullying website features evidence-based information and resources for schools, parents and carers, and students to help identify, prevent and respond to bullying. The website is part of the Department’s strategy to address bullying behaviour in New South Wales schools.

The website features information on:

  • online safety
  • what to do if you are being bullied
  • what to do if your child is being bullied
  • children who are bullying others
  • how to respond if bullying is witnessed.

The website has been designed to be readily available to everybody and will continue to publish new resources and provide updated information for schools, parents and carers, and students.

Research shows that 87% of bullying incidents have peer witnesses. The most effective anti-bullying approaches promote positive bystander behaviour, or upstander behaviour.
