Child playing on floor with plastic blocks

ARACY has released five new fact sheets collating the evidence for prevention and early intervention as the most promising strategy for changing the trajectories of children's development and well-being. The fact sheets include evidence that children’s life chances are influenced by their families and communities and can be changed for the better.

The fact sheets summarise data in the report Better systems, better chances: A review of research and practice for prevention and early intervention and are designed to:

  • Help service providers, practitioners and policy makers audit their own programs and policy decisions against the evidence of ‘what gets results’ (particularly timely as the new year begins) and
  • Help individuals and organisations communicate with peers, policy makers and professional associations on the evidence available and the importance of ensuring program design and monitoring is evidence-based.
