City of Parramatta Council’s Draft Social Infrastructure Strategy is currently on public exhibition until 16 October 2017. The draft Social Infrastructure Strategy identifies and assesses existing social infrastructure provision throughout the Local Government Area (LGA) and outlines Council’s long-term direction for social infrastructure provision.

It recognises the contemporary challenges the City of Parramatta has for realising quality social infrastructure and identifies key opportunities and directions by asset type and for the City of Parramatta’s 13 high growth areas.

The objective of the draft Strategy is to ensure the Parramatta CBD and neighbourhoods have the necessary social infrastructure to help people’s standard of living maintain and improve, and their sense of belonging and community strengthen. It applies to the city’s unique and diverse neighbourhoods as well as the CBD.

Realising the social infrastructure that is required for a growing community will require collaboration, partnerships and the resources of many.

How can you be involved?

The City of Parramatta is asking for your thoughts and feedback to take this draft Strategy to the next stage. Share your ideas for ensuring adequate provision of quality social infrastructure to meet the growing and diverse needs of our community.
