The Michael Hughes Foundation are running a number of Defibrillator Familiarisation and First Responder Information Sessions in partnership with the City of Parramatta Council & Stronger Communities Fund.

These sessions will provide education on sudden cardiac arrest, defibrillators and CPR techniques. 

The course will cover the following topics:

  • Sudden cardiac arrest vs heart attack
  • Current national statistics
  • DRSABCD & the Chain of Survival
  • The 000 process
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Use and maintenance of a defibrillator
  • The Good Samaritan Act
  • General questions & support
