City of Parramatta Annual Youth Forum

The City of Parramatta Council invites young people (12 to 25 years old) to join them at the City's 2018 Annual Youth Forum and help plan the future of the city.

Two sessions will be held on the day:

12–16 year olds (Morning Session, 9.00am–12.30pm)

17–25 year olds (Afternoon Session, 3.00–5.00pm) * First 10 People to visit 5 stations and discuss projects/plans with staff will receive a $30 Westfield Gift Voucher.

Are you living, working, studying or regularly visiting the City of Parramatta? The City covers a large area, including the Parramatta CBD, Northmead, Westmead, Carlingford, Epping, Telopea, Dundas, Harris Park, Rosehill, Rydalmere, North Rocks, Toongabbie, Wentworthville, Pendle Hill and Constitution Hill, Wentworth Point and Newington.

  • Are you aged 12-25 years?
  • Are you concerned about the future of the City?
  • Do you use parks, libraries, bike routes and sporting grounds?
  • Do you ever go to big local events – or wonder if they are for you?
  • Do you want to know, “How does the City plan for the needs of young people?”

Then register online for the 2018 Annual Youth Forum. There are a limited number of places available and the City of Parramatta is looking for a variety of young people who reflect the diversity of our City.

What will you be doing at the event?

Morning Session, 12–16 year olds (Activity Focused):

  • Hearing from the City’s Lord Mayor and staff on Council plans, programs and projects for the City that are relevant to you as young people
  • Participating in activities to explore your ideas and opinions on Council’s plans, programs and projects
  • Sharing your thoughts on what is important to you and want you want for the City
  • Meeting Council staff and other young people from across the Parramatta region (around 70 young people – via invitation and Eventbrite)

Afternoon Session, 17–25 year olds (Expo Style):

  • Seeing and hearing from staff manning stations on Council plans, programs and projects for the City that are relevant to you as young people
  • Discussing your ideas and opinions on Council plans, programs and projects
  • Sharing your thoughts on what is important to you and want you want for the City
  • Meeting Council staff and other young people from across the Parramatta region
