Inspired by the community-mindedness of 100 new refugees who have joined the south-west Sydney community, SSI has decided to invest $50,000 in a Community Innovation Fund designed to resource community leaders and groups to lead their own community-based initiatives.

The SSI Community Innovation Fund has been established to enhance the capacity of leaders and individuals to be champions of initiatives that seek to increase the settlement opportunities and outcomes of individuals and families.

In the first round of funding, SSI will invest $50,000 toward projects in south-west Sydney (Fairfield, Liverpool and surrounds). These projects are to be designed and led by the community. The Fund will look for great ideas from communities to support their identified aspirations.
