Fairfield City Council is calling on organisations and the community to stand up and say “VIOLENCE – Not Today NOT EVER!”. Council is inviting local government and non-government organisations, businesses and community groups to make Expressions of Interest in delivering activities or events to help stop violence against women as part of the International 16 Days of Action to Eliminate Violence Against Women and White Ribbon Day campaigns.

Council is looking for:

  • Innovative and unique project ideas engaging businesses, arts and crafts
  • Activities targeting young people, children, disadvantaged, diverse, newly arrived people, people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Islander people and refugee communities.
  • Activities where men are leading role models for other men.

Expression of Interest process

  • Funding of up to $3,000 will be available to assist organisations and partners to deliver their proposed activity/event.
  • One organisation must take the lead and auspice the activity/event, enter into a Memorandum of Understanding Agreement with Fairfield City Council and report on the outcomes of the activity/event.
  • The organisation must be willing to share in the social media marketing of the event with Council as a promotional strategy.
  • The event must address the key issues, be engaging and inclusive.
