The Charles Sturt University (CSU) 2017 Community-University Partnerships (CUP) Rural and Regional Sports Development Program is a small grants program to assist young rural sportspeople or teams to attend regional, national or other one-off events, to assist community sporting groups to host regional, national or other one-off events in CSU's campus regions, and to provide equipment to assist young people who have difficulty meeting the cost of participation in sports programs.

The grants are generally generally between $500 and $1,000.

Who can apply?

  • Community and sporting organisations and educational institutions (e.g. schools) may apply for a grant under this Round.
  • Individuals should apply through their relevant community or sporting organisation or educational institution.
  • Eligible bodies must be incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation or association. Where a body is not incorporated, funding may be requested by an auspicing body (on behalf of an unincorporated body, where the auspicing body accepts accountability for the grant).
