Do you want to make a positive impact in the life of a young person? Unique opportunities are available for active male volunteer mentors to support young people living in care through a mutual interest in sports, outdoor activities and video games.

As a mentor to young people, you will support them by being a positive male role model and encouraging the development of positive social skills. 

You don't have to be an expert to be a mentor. You just need to be a good listener, have a genuine interest in computer games, outdoor activities and helping young people.

Mentors engage in regular recreational activities with individual young people to facilitate the development of life skills and an positive, constructive relationship.

Your interests and life experiences can make a real difference to a young person in your local community, as well as your positive outlook and a genuinely compassionate interest in young people.

Other skills/requirements:

A genuine interest in sports, outdoor activities and video games.

Minimum commitment: 2–3 hours a week or fortnight; 12 month commitment.
