Volunteering opportunities are available in Richmond and The Hills for Lifestyle Facilitators and Lifestyle Support volunteers to support people with disability to participate in a range of fun activities and outings. 

Lifestyle Facilitators

Would you love to make a difference in the lives of people with a disability? Help turn dreams into a reality as a facilitator in a fun lifestyle activity programs.

Some examples of the programs you could help with include baking, art and craft, bowling, gardening, music, shopping and visiting varied sites across Sydney.

No experience is required. All training will be provided. 

Suitable for: retirees, tertiary students, people looking to return to the workforce or someone who would like to give back to the community.

Minimum commitment: 3 months; 2–3 hours a week on weekdays.


Lifestyle Support Volunteers

Do you enjoy outings? This is a unique opportunity to take a person with disability out and about to places such as the movies, a footy game or shopping.

The Best Mates program volunteers take a client out in the community to enjoy activities like the movies, football games, going to the local shops, out to lunch, or even for a simple cup of coffee.

Clients are asked what their interests are and community members support the client to participate in their interests.

Evenings and weekend volunteering is available.

Other requirements: The organisation will run police checks and will provide training

Minimum commitment: Two months
