Tree of green hands

One of Western Sydney’s newest nature reserves, Bartolo Reserve, is a remnant of the critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland and a sanctuary for native wildlife and threatened species. A conservation organisation is seeking volunteers on 22 November, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, to help remove weeds, conduct flora and fauna surveys, and to water newly planted native flowering species.

Volunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. A hat and gloves will be provided. Please bring lunch, snacks and water.

Volunteers from as young as 7 may attend as long as they are accompanied by a parent. Volunteers up to 70 years old are welcomed, or up to 80 years old with medical clearance.
