The Orange Volunteer Event Assistant role requires an enthusiastic and motivated person to support event coordinators in preparing for major Cancer Council NSW events.

This role will be a multi-faceted one, as the successful applicants will be required to assist with the organisation of Cancer Council major fundraising events, such as Relay for Life and Stars dance events. This role has a significant degree of flexibility - you can come in either once a week, or more, whatever times and days works for them.

This is a great opportunity to work in a respected organisation alongside a highly experienced and professional team. There is the possibility here of gaining valuable experience in event management and working in an office environment using a variety of skills.

The Cancer Council recognises the incredibly important role that volunteers play in delivering a range of programs and services that support the community and ultimately help to deliver the organisation's mission. With volunteers comprising over 85% of the 'workforce', they are absolutely critical to the success of the Cancer Council.
