The Social Investment Grants Program from Community Sector Banking offers a total pool of $200,000 for not-for-profit organisations. This year the grants are focussed on building resilience and capability for people experiencing homelessness or domestic and family violence.


The Australian Turf Club (ATC) is home to four racecourses in the Sydney metropolitan area. Applications are now open for the first round of the 2017 ATC Community Grants, which aim to support locally-based initiatives that will make a positive difference to the local community.

The 20 Million Trees Program is aiming to help Australians plant 20 million trees by 2020 to re-establish green corridors and urban forests. Applications are now being sought for Round Three of the program from eligible groups or individuals interested in undertaking a tree planting project as part of the 20 Million Trees Program.

Kickstarter awards aim to build the capacity of early stage social ventures through the development of robust and tested business plans, professional mentoring and small grant funding. The Kickstarter program awards 6 x $10,000 grants annually (across two rounds) to eligible social enterprises as part of a two-stage process:

The ACCAN Grants Program funds projects which either undertake research on telecommunications issues, represent consumers or create educational tools which empower consumers to make decisions in their own interests and to understand telecommunications products and services. Applications are now open.

NSW Mental Health Month Small Grants are offered to help support mental health promotion activities or events during Mental Health Month in October. The event or activity should promote positive mental health in the community. Grants are made in five categories.

Round Three of Transport for NSW’s Centre for Road Safety’s Community Road Safety Grants Program is open. The Community Road Safety Grants Program gives community groups across NSW the opportunity to deliver local road safety projects that increase road safety awareness and support safer road use.
