Australian dollar with wooden cubes tax time

Would you consider partnering with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to help improve the not-for-profit client experience? ATO is now seeking new members for the Not-for-profit Stewardship Group. They are looking for members that have strong ties to the not-for-profit sector and a wide range of views, experiences and connections.

The Not-for-profit Stewardship Group is one of nine stewardship groups ATO operates. Its main purpose is to foster strategic discussions about the major issues impacting not-for-profit organisations in their interactions with the tax and super systems.

The Stewardship Group:

  • considers issues around current tax administration and law as they relate to not-for-profits
  • consults on new policy initiatives proposed by government
  • identifies opportunities to improve the tax and super systems – importantly, this includes making it easier for not-for-profit organisations and their representatives to access the concessions to which they are entitled and to meet their obligations
  • gains insights into current issues faced by not-for-profit organisations
  • identifies emerging issues or developments that may be of concern to not-for-profit organisations and their representatives
  • partners with the not-for-profit community to find appropriate solutions for issues raised and to improve the not-for-profit client experience in the tax and super systems
  • shares key ATO messages with the not-for-profit community.

Nominations close: 26 September 2016.
