The City of Parramatta Council invites expressions of interest from residents with knowledge of Parramatta’s rich and diverse heritage, including Darug people, other Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders; and members of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities, to participate in a Community Heritage Interpretation Working Group.

Parramatta Square is set to become a world-class destination in the heart of the Parramatta CBD. It will deliver a dynamic and innovative environment for people who work, live and visit Sydney’s geographical centre. Parramatta Square includes public open space and a new civic building, 5 Parramatta Square, both are critical to the activation of the precinct and will create a new heart for Parramatta.

In order to embed Parramatta’s heritage values into the development, heritage interpretation planning is underway for the Public Domain and 5 Parramatta Square. Council wants to engage community participation through a Community Heritage Interpretation Working Group.

EOI close: 20 April 2018.
