Christmas Hamper

The Christmas Miracle Appeal has successfully distributed 1200 hampers to the needy in the Mudgee community, including a large number of elderly residents.

The appeal has grown each year, starting in 1959 where 8 hampers were delivered. Event manager Noela Sikora says that more and more people are signing up for hampers each year.

Hampers consisted of products donated from Mars Chocolates and Edgell, accompanied by a Christmas cake, tinned ham and school products.

The cost of the donated goods totalled $35,000, which was raised throughout the year from events such as a golf day, trivia nights and other fundraising activities.
