The Global Evidence and Implementation Summit 2018 (GEIS) will bring together experts from a range of sectors — including community development and health services — to talk about their experiences in generating and implementing evidence for better policy and practice.

Expected to attract more than 600 delegates from 30 countries, it will be an invaluable learning and networking opportunity for funding and implementing agencies, policy makers, practitioners, knowledge brokers and researchers.

Summit themes include:

  • Understanding what works
  • Achieving scale and sustainability
  • Methods for impact and implementation evaluation and synthesis
  • Using evidence for better policy, programs and practice
  • National and global cooperation and partnerships

Key speaker: Hirokazu Yoshikawa is a professor at New York University, where he also co-directs the Global TIES for Children center. His research is focused on youth, immigration and inequality; Hirokazu was recently appointed to lead a research program assessing the impact of early childhood education for Syrian refugees.
