Workers supporting children and families in South West Sydney are invited to attend this workshop to develop skills, share experiences and network with others.

This workshop applies a trauma informed care and practice lens to a critical area of concern – working with children with challenging behaviours. It will focus on both increasing understanding and knowledge, also equipping workers with helpful practical tools and intervention strategies.

Developmental trauma can be a contributor to challenging behaviours. This workshop will explore the impact of trauma for the developing child and what this means for our work practice.

In this workshop you will:

  • Increase understanding of challenging behaviours;
  • Increase knowledge and understanding of helpful intervention strategies;
  • Increase understanding of the impact of developmental trauma and
  • Increase understanding and application of trauma informed care and practice.
