Pairing the New with the Old: Innovation in Volunteer Recruitment
25 October 2018, 10.00am-1.30pm
Dooley's Lidcombe Catholic Club, 17 Church St, Lidcombe

Cost: Free for staff from volunteer involving organisations in Cumberland, Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains LGAs.

In a world where there are more demands on our time than ever before, many organisations are finding volunteer recruitment increasingly challenging, particularly skilled volunteer recruitment.

Does this mean it’s time to do away with the old, tried and tested techniques for something entirely new?

Hear from Victor Lee, co-founder of Comuniteer, an online platform which enables not for profit organisations and social ventures to collaborate with skilled volunteers in order to achieve positive social outcomes. He will share with you how Communiteer works to recruit the elusive skilled volunteers and how you can benefit from their platform.

Also presenting is Himalee Raj, Head of Digital Inclusion at Leep. Himalee will be sharing how Leep has been building its volunteer base using traditional techniques with a twist, and helping other organisations to do the same.

In each presentation there will be a chance for discussion and sharing, so you can also learn from the experience of other organisations.

Following the forum we will be providing a free networking lunch to give you a chance to foster the connections made and enjoy the company of like-minded colleagues across the community services sector.
