3 volunteers packing food for charity

Are you passionate about assisting people who are homeless have access to good food this Christmas? This non profit organisation distributes food to charities that provide approximately 400,000 meals per week to families in need, and volunteers are critical to helping achieve this result.

Current opportunities for volunteers to help in the Glendenning warehouse in the lead up to Christmas and throughout January, to provide vital food assistance during the holiday period.

This is a great opportunity during the school holidays, to gain experience in a warehouse environment, or simply try volunteering to see if it works for you. Volunteering with this organisation will keep you active, help train for new careers, and makes you feel like you belong to something important.

Tasks include:

- Sorting of mixed food, grocery items and fresh produce

- Packing of Emergency Packs

- Packing of Charity Food Orders

- Assist in stocking shelves


- Be at least 15 years of age

- Have a sufficient level of English to understand both written and verbal instructions

- Be able to perform at least moderate lifting

- Wear comfortable clothes and fully enclosed shoes

Shifts commence at 8:00am and finish at 2:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

The location is just off the M7, and is easily accessible by car. Public transport is available, with a bus stop close by.
