Do you have excellent communication and listening skills and would you love to volunteer with an organisation dedicated to beating cancer?

The Information Services volunteers will direct cancer patients, carers and their families to appropriate organisational resources and information. The volunteer may also provide social support but does not provide advice on medical matters, treatments or provide any type of counselling.

Locations:  Multiple roles available at Nepean, Blacktown, Westmead and Liverpool.

Days/Times: Flexible shifts are available between Mondays to Fridays, and are 4 hours per week.



  • Willingness to undergo vaccinations for specific conditions, as per Department of Health staff policy
  • Working with Children Check
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and listening skills
  • Have a flexible approach to helping others
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the range of CCNSW services
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about cancer support services available in the community
  • A non judgemental attitude
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality
  • Computer skills
  • Attendance at all training and debriefing for this role, both initial and ongoing
  • Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Record check and sign a Prohibited Employment Declaration
