The NAIDOC local Grant Funding Round opened on Thursday 24 January 2019 at 11.00am (AEDT).

It provides funding to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous legal entities to support the costs of local and regional NAIDOC activities across Australia.

The 2019  National NAIDOC Week theme, Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future recognises Australia’s Indigenous identity was formed over 65,000 years ago and remains ingrained in our national fabric today.

The Australian Government has committed $1.4 million in funding for NAIDOC activities to be held during National NAIDOC Week from the 7-14 July 2019.

The NAIDOC Grant Funding aims to support activities being held during NAIDOC Week that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, achievements and continuing contributions to our country and society.
