We would like to invite you to participate in a focus group on best practice service approaches to improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to develop a good practice framework for adoption across Australia.

This focus group will include program managers and staff from Primary Health Networks (PHN's) and senior staff and practitioners from PHN-commisioned and other community based services that are delivering mental health services to the target group. Young people are also invited to participate.

Through discussions of key issues and opportunities we hope to identify good practice approaches, frameworks and principles for mental health services, clarify the role of the PHNs in commissioning services that improve the mental health and wellbeing of the target group and provide recommendations regarding key elements of a good practice framework.

Findings from these discussions will inform the development of a best practice framework and guide for PHNs. This guide will support the commissioning of PHN mental health services to improve the mental health and wellbeing of this cohort.

If you are a young person attending, $30 gift vouchers will be given out at the end of the workshop, as we appreciate your time and input.
